Dieting and Weekend Strength

It’s a marvelous feeling when 5pm on Friday comes around, isn’t it? You feel like slavery has ended and the world is your oyster. You might even have plans to take advantage of your days off by taking a weekend holiday to relax, or go completely bonkers partying.

Whether you are to relax or party there are many dieting and weight loss pit falls about to temp you. Although you have been freed from your work slavery – your body still needs to be constrained to the rigors of the diet that you have so diligently followed throughout the week.

You Cannot Take a Weekend Off

Diets do not temporarily stop. They start and they stop. There is no pause in between. The weekend is not a stopping period that you are given a free pass for. You need to constantly stay on top of your game, keep your mind strong and stay focused on your weight loss plan. Otherwise you have just become a train wreck and need to start all over again.

No matter what, we here at will always be here for you and be ready to help you pick up where you have failed before. That is the promise we make to you. What you need to consider is how much you are wasting your own time if you fail to adhere to your diet. What is the point in starting and stopping early, only to start all over again?

So be strong. Don’t let the joy of it being the weekend destroy all of the hard work you have put in throughout the week. When relaxing, make sure not to indulge in high sugar, high fat foods simply because they come ready made. Take the time to leisurely cook up a healthy meal instead. If you are partying – you don’t need to be drunk to have a good time! Leave the alcohol behind the bar and try having a ball without it. Try this once and you’ll never look at alcohol the same way again.

Lose Weight After A Summer Of Excess

Had a good summer? I did. I had lots of meals out with friends and family and I accompanied these with more than my fair share of alchohol (beer, spirits, shots etc) – Deserts are something else altogether!

It was all sunshine and relaxation. What more could I ask for?

Well, I know what I didn’t ask for! Weight gain!

Excuses, excuses huh? I could list a few reasons why this happened aside from the over exuberance.

It’s time to lose this weight again. Which is great – because now I can use Dieting Diet to get there.

The Silent Launch

In the dead of the night on Friday 13th August, 2010 – launched. We didn’t run out onto the streets screaming loudly, nor did we plaster every billboard up and down the country with details of who we are and what we have to offer you.

Instead we just …. let it go. Like a white dove being released into the sky to find out all of the beautiful wonders of the world.

This is the only notification that we are giving.

We will, of course, begin to slowly ramp things up over time. What we need right now is stability and steady growth. Not a rapid influx of what we like to call “in and outers”. The people who rush in to find out what the site is about and never really want to use it or contribute to the community.

We have been creating a way for you to lose weight in a structured and ordered way so that you can keep track of where you’ve been, where you are and where you are going in your diet.

We’ve got weekly, weigh in milestones for you to meet, start and end timeframes for your diet, estimated weight/BMI/BMR targets each week – and that is just to start with. As time goes on – we’ll be adding features that you want and need. These are all in development right now!


So you’ve heard of a few diets and want to try one of them – but are they right for you and your lifestyle? We are going to give you all the information and support you need in order to make that decision. We’ll also let you follow your favourite diet and get information about it as you do it. This will help you to stick to your chosen diet throughout – no sweat.

You should never start a diet without specifying when it is going to end. We are starting a campaign of “No more open ended diets“. We are forcing you to diet between specific timeframes so you’ll know where you are starting and what your target is as well as when you have to meet it. This allows you to focus your determination and gives you a dieting goal.

We hope you are as excited as we are. We will also be very eager to gain your feedback about what you think we can do to improve – so whenever you are ready, jump in and let us know what you think.
